Job summary

UTHealth Houston's Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences division seeks a Research Assistant I to support a clinical research study focusing on mood disorders in children and families. You will recruit participants, oversee scheduling, and ensure regulatory compliance under supervision.

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor's degree, familiarity with GCP/IRB processes, and excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• GCP and IRB/IEC regulatory experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Spanish and English language fluency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, conducts research activities to support projects, including data collection and record-keeping.
• Recruit, screen and enroll subjects; manage scheduling and regulatory documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GCP, IRB/IEC requirements and lab protocols.
• Coordinate with senior staff and, if needed, supervise technicians to ensure timely results.
