Scripps Research Translational Institute in La Jolla, CA seeks a Research Assistant I (temporary) to support the Chanda Lab’s new technology development, including high-throughput assays, molecular toolkits, and validation of in vitro assays.

The ideal candidate has a BS in biology or related field, 1–3 years’ experience, mammalian cell culture, and strong communication skills. Experience with cloning, data analysis (Excel/Prism) is a plus; this is a 6‑month assignment with no visa sponsorship.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science in biology, biochemistry, microbiology, or related field.
• 1-3 years of related experience required.
• Experience in working with mammalian cells is required.
• Experience with molecular cloning is preferred.
• Experience with database interface and data analysis using Excel and Prism is preferred.
• Experience with automated liquid handling instruments is a plus.
• Experience with gene expression analysis (RT-qPCR, NGS, etc.) is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Letter of recommendation and/or at least one professional reference is required.
