Level I - Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, environmental health, or related field plus three (3) years of research-related experience required.
Level II- Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, environmental health, or related field plus four (4) years of research-related experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Cell culture.
Working with DNA and RNA isolation and analysis protocols.
Animal experimentation and handling.
Able to stand for a significant period of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's in cancer biology, biology, toxicology, or related field.
Animal experimentation and handling
Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative(CITI) certification.
Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) certification.
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
Maintains lab inventory, orders supplies, and oversees equipment maintenance.
Ensures compliance with biosafety and hazardous material regulations.
Trains and supervises junior staff/students on lab protocols.
Perform cell culture (L2+), molecular biology (cloning, qPCR), and mutagenesis assays.
Process and analyze genomic data from cell lines and clinical samples.
Assists in experimental design, data collection, and manuscript/grant preparation.
Manages breeding, genotyping, and regulatory documentation for murine models.
Process human biospecimens while adhering to ethical guidelines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
Constantly - Keyboarding, Sharps, Standing, and Talking.
Frequently - Climbing, Grasping, Kneeling, Lifting, and Repetitive Motion.
