JOB SUMMARY
Works under general direction to provide responsible and skilled technical assistance in performing assignments requiring experience and good knowledge of techniques and practices related to particular field of medical and scientific research.
This position is for a laboratory technician in a reproductive genomics lab. Duties include: mouse colony management, standard molecular biology, molecular cloning, solution making, tissue culture, assisting with day-to-day lab supply and operation oversight, and, in-house database curation. Perfect position for a post-bac candidate wanting to go back to graduate school or medical school.
A Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics/Genomics preferred. Candidates must be organized and have attention to detail. Research lab experience preferred but not required. Must be comfortable with managing small mouse colony.
