Job summary

The New School is seeking a Research Assistant to support the People’s AI & Data Lab for Social Research. The role blends event logistics with research tasks, including coordinating speakers, preparing background materials, and documenting convenings. You will work 15–20 hours per week on campus with some remote hours.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics and planning for Lab workshops and convenings.
• Manage communications with speakers, participants, and partners.
• Provide on-site support during workshops and convenings.
• Conduct background research; prepare briefing materials and participant packets.
• Draft workshop summaries and post-event reports; organize materials for shared drive.
