Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to follow established protocols and maintain accuracy.
• Willingness to work in a research setting with lab safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate scientific apparatus; perform minor repairs.
• Prepare correspondence and answer phones.
• Formulate and maintain bibliographies; complete forms and applications.
• Order laboratory supplies and maintain culture media reagents.
• Review and edit materials for publication; assist publication schedules.
• Maintain logs, records, and study notebooks.
• Adhere to university policies and safeguard assets.
• Assist with NIH-funded research on gut–brain axis; opioid comorbidities.
• Perform DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, ELISA, tissue processing, and flow cytometry.
• Assist with animal studies using mouse models under IACUC guidelines.
• Support microbiome and metabolomic studies; data organization.
• Literature reviews; assist in abstracts, presentations, manuscripts.
• Participate in weekly lab meetings and collaborate across teams.
