A lab position, Research Assistant I, is available in Dr. Zang’s lab at the Burn and Shock Trauma Research Institute in the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University Chicago. The research focuses on mitochondrial signaling in cardiac dysfunction and autophagy in sepsis using in vitro and in vivo models. The candidate will gain experience with various techniques and work within a multidisciplinary team to conduct translational research.
Education: Required: Bachelor’s degree in biology, biomedical sciences, or related field, or equivalent training via work experience or education.
Experience: Required: Previous lab work experience. Preferred: 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Computer Skills: Proficiency with MS Office, internet, and email applications.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
