Job summary

The Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is seeking a Research Assistant to conduct literature reviews, manage data, recruit participants, obtain consents, and schedule interviews across hospital, clinic, and home settings as part of NIH-funded fall detection research.

You will collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, assist with data tables and graphics, and help prepare reports while upholding our vision and core values in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree plus 3–6 months related experience.
• Preferred graduate student in neurosciences, nursing, psychology, engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and statistical software (Stata/SPSS) and MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature searches and manage data collection.
• Recruit participants, obtain informed consent, and schedule interviews.
• Collect and manage data from hospital, clinic, and home settings using wearable sensors and tests.
• Assist in data analysis, create graphs and reports.
• Transcribe interviews and maintain data inventory.
• Support scholarly activities and attend meetings.
