Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Mechanical Engineering is searching for a Research Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing support in the areas of collection and analysis of research data including biomedical instrumentation and signal processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with data collection, including biomedical instrumentation
  • Assist with data analysis, including signal processing
  • Assist with literature reviews, including summarizing key papers

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 0-1 year of experience in Signal processing, Matlab programming, spreadsheets, statistics
  • Entry level research experience, including basic understanding of instrumentation and software
