Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Research Assistant Coder in the Special Education department. This full-time position is based on UT Main Campus and involves in-person work with a 30-hour weekly schedule.

You will code parent-child interaction videos, support in-person assessment visits, rate assessor fidelity, and participate in team meetings. A Bachelor's degree plus one year of related experience is required, with a Master’s preferred.

Job Details:

This position is fully in person and 30 hours a week.

Purpose:

To code parent-child interaction videos, support in-person assessment visits, rate assessor fidelity, and participate in team meetings.

Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and one year of related expereince
  • Previous experience behavioral coding parent-child interactions.
  • Experience working with young children and hearing young children speak English to an adult
  • Experience juggling multiple responsibilities and deadlines

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree and three years of relevant experience
  • Experience coding the Disruptive Behavior Diagnostic Observation Schedule and/or the Individual Growth Development Indicators- Early Childhood Intervention
Salary Range:

$25,000 - $40,000, the prorate range for 30 Scheduled Weekly Hours

Work Shift:
  • 30 Scheduled Weekly Hours throughout M - F, 8am - 5pm schedule

Employment Eligibility:

Retirement Plan Eligibility:

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
