Job summary

Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a qualified and experienced Research Assistant to manage and conduct clinical trials, ensuring studies follow protocol guidelines and good clinical practices. You will assist with regulatory files, data entry, CRFs, study drug accountability, monitoring visits, and coordination with Research Nurses, while maintaining education and compliance.

A background in Pharmacy Technician preferred; Associate or Bachelor's degree favored; we offer

Qualifications

• Experience with regulatory documentation and data entry.
• Familiarity with clinical trial processes and GCP guidelines.
• Current IATA, human subjects protection training or GCP training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regulatory files, data entry, drug receipt/storage/transport.
• Ensure quality and integrity of data.
• Ensure compliance with department standards and federal regulations and ICH guidelines.
• Pursue ongoing education through continuing education programs.
• Assist with lab processing and shipping.
• Complete CRFs and resolve data queries within timelines.
• Ensure proper study drug accountability.
• Assist Research Nurses with regulatory documents.
• Participate in initiation, monitoring, closeout, and audit visits.
• Assist with orientation and ongoing education of staff in the research department.

Overview: Our Scottsdale office is looking for a qualified and experienced Research Assistant to assist in managing and conducting clinical trials and ensure that studies are properly conducted in conformance with the protocol guidelines, departmental standards, and good clinical practices.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday day shift position - Scottsdale office

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists with maintenance of complete regulatory files, data entry, drug receipt, drug storage, and transportation and other administrative duties as assigned.
• Responsible for quality of data.
• Assists in ensuring compliance with department standards and all federal regulations and international guidelines of good clinical practice.
• Active in maintaining continued education and professional growth through participation in continuing education programs.
• Assists with lab processing and shipping.
• Assists with completion of CRFs, data entry/query resolution within protocol specified timelines.
• Assists to ensure proper study drug accountability, including receipt, storage, dispensing and transportation.
• Assist Research Nurses in the maintenance of regulatory documents.
• Assists and participates in study initiation visits, monitoring visits, closeout visits and audit visits.
• Assists with orientation of new staff and ongoing education of other staff in the research department as appropriate

Education and Experience:

• Current or Prior Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Current IATA, Human subjects protection training or GCP training highly desirable.
