Job summary

Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers in Chandler, AZ, is seeking a qualified Research Assistant to manage and conduct clinical trials in accordance with protocols and Good Clinical Practice. You will maintain regulatory files, support data entry and study visits, assist with CRFs, and help ensure data quality and adherence to federal and international guidelines.

This full-time role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and teamwork within a multidisciplinary oncology team.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Current IATA, Human subjects protection training or GCP training highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regulatory files and data entry with drug receipt and storage.
• Ensure data quality and regulatory compliance with GCP and FDA guidelines.
• Assist with lab processing and study visits, and CRF completion and data query resolution.
• Assist and participate in study initiation, monitoring, closeout and audit visits.
• Orient new staff and provide ongoing education within the research department.

Research Assistant - Clinical Oncology-Chandler

Each one provides a superior cancer care environment with a full spectrum of cancer related services for patients. Our multi-disciplinary team approach includes surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, women's centers, diagnostic imaging services, social service support, nutritionist, integrative services, and genetic counseling.

Overview: Our Chandler office is looking for a qualified and experienced Research Assistant to assist in managing and conducting clinical trials and ensure that studies are properly conducted in conformance with the protocol guidelines, departmental standards, and good clinical practices.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday day shift position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists with maintenance of complete regulatory files, data entry, drug receipt, drug storage, and transportation and other administrative duties as assigned.
• Responsible for quality of data.
• Assists in ensuring compliance with department standards and all federal regulations and international guidelines of good clinical practice.
• Active in maintaining continued education and professional growth through participation in continuing education programs.
• Assists with lab processing and shipping.
• Assists with completion of CRFs, data entry/query resolution within protocol specified timelines.
• Assists to ensure proper study drug accountability, including receipt, storage, dispensing and transportation.
• Assist Research Nurses in the maintenance of regulatory documents.
• Assists and participates in study initiation visits, monitoring visits, closeout visits and audit visits.
• Assists with orientation of new staff and ongoing education of other staff in the research department as appropriate

Education and Experience:

• Current or Prior Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
