Job summary

The University of Chicago's Clinical Addictions Research Laboratory (CARL) seeks a Research Assistant to lead recruitment, conduct screenings, and collect data for studies on alcohol, tobacco and other substances, with a project enrolling 18–19 year olds and follow-up. You will also support ongoing smoking cessation research and assist with database management and study materials.

Qualifications include MS Excel and RedCap; coding skills in R, Python, SPSS or STATA are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment efforts, conduct screening interviews and study orientation sessions.
• Collect data during study visits and follow-up interviews.
• Assist with database management, literature reviews, and recordkeeping.
• Support equipment calibration and maintenance and organize study materials.
• Assist in data analysis and development of tables, graphs, and charts for reports.
