Alliance Clinical Network is seeking a Research Assistant in Phoenix, AZ to support clinical trials by performing protocol-driven procedures, collecting data, obtaining informed consent, and coordinating study activities.

The role requires Medical Assistant training, CPT preferred, proficiency with MS Office and data systems, and the ability to work on-site with travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant education approved by AZ Medical Board is required.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and electronic data systems is required.
• Ability to travel between clinical sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively and courteously with study participants.
• Collect patient medical histories and obtain informed consent.
• Dispense and manage study drug accountability per protocol.
• Perform protocol-specific procedures including EKGs, vitals, and phlebotomy.
• Administer injections and/or medications to trial participants.
• Collect, process, and ship biological samples (blood, urine, tissue).
• Verify accuracy of collected clinical data and ensure timely documentation.
• Support temperature monitoring and IP storage.
• Manage study startup documentation, training, and timelines.
• Ensure protocol requirements and deadlines are met consistently.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

About the Role:

The Research Assistant supports the conduct of clinical trials by performing protocol‑required procedures, coordinating study activities, and engaging directly with study participants. This role is responsible for collecting and documenting clinical data, obtaining informed consent, managing investigational product accountability, processing biological samples, and maintaining regulatory documentation. The Research Assistant ensures compliance with study protocols, regulatory requirements, and company policies while meeting timelines and delivering high‑quality support to patients, investigators, and internal teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively and courteously with study participants.
• Collect patient medical histories and obtain informed consent.
• Dispense and manage study drug accountability per protocol.
• Perform protocol‑specific procedures including EKGs, vital signs, and phlebotomy.

Qualifications:

• Completed a Medical Assistant education program approved by the Arizona Medical Board is required.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic data systems is required.
• Ability to travel between clinical sites as needed.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Outstanding customer service skills with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
