What You Need to Know

Starting Salary: $45,000.00

Responsibilities

Research

• - Intensively participates in data analysis and preliminary data collection through accurately following experimental protocols (e.g., cell culture, PCR, ELISA, Western blot, immunohistochemistry, mice behavioral study).
• - Compiles data files set from research teams. Collects, interprets, and analyzes data, compiles results, prepares reports, and presents their conclusions.
• - Maintains mouse colony in the vivarium, performs surgery on the xenograft mice, conducts behavioral test on mice, generates preliminary data for the lung cancer project and Alzheimer’s disease projects.
• - Participates in poster and podium presentation of the collected results

Administrative

• - Under the supervision of PI, organizes the professional collaboration between the pharmacy/graduate students and the lab team member.
• - Helps train new lab members or undergraduate students and graduate students on techniques and safety protocols.
• - Ships laboratory agents for analysis
• - Works collaboratively with undergraduate students, graduate students, postdocs, and PIs.
• - Attends and contributes to lab meetings and discussions.
• - Other essential duties

Qualifications

Required Education

• - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• - Knowledge of laboratory maintenance and equipment.
• - Knowledge of computers and computer software related to the position.
• - Attention to detail.
