CORE JOB SUMMARY

The Research Associate 1, SOM supports research activities for the assigned division by conducting laboratory experiments on assigned research projects. Moreover, the incumbent operates with the goal of advancing his/her expertise through continued education, training, and research.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

Experience: No prior experience required

Department Specific Functions
  • Research project focuses on the role of microRNAs in neurogenesis within drug abuse and HIV mouse models. For this project, we are seeking a research associate with a bachelor's degree in biology, Biochemistry, or Molecular Biology.
  • As we are utilizing human cell lines and in vivo mouse models, we expect the individual to be responsible for maintaining cell lines and transgenic mice, as well as conducting Western blotting and real-time qPCR analyses.

Experience: Laboratory experience is preferred
