Job summary

Geisinger Weis Center for Research in Danville is seeking a Research Projects Coordinator to assist with coordinating research activities and recruiting participants. You will support day-to-day operations including database searches, mailings, recruitment calls and scheduling, while maintaining study documentation and specimen tracking.

Under supervision of a Project Manager, you will help with data collection and entry, study tracking, reporting and subject reimbursement processing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of an experienced Project Manager or designee, responsible for assisting with coordination of research projects. Perform day-to-day research project activities such as recruitment database searches, mailings, recruitment calls. Schedule research appointments, maintains study documentation, specimen management and tracking (supply ordering, preparation of clinical research lab kits, packaging/shipping of clinical specimens, etc.), data collection and entry, study tracking and reporting, and subject reimbursement processing and tracking.

Job Duties

Conducts and manages minimal risk studies under the supervision of a project manager or designee. Prepares, maintains, and tracks regulatory documents according to governmental regulations and sponsor requirements. Assists with subject visits including obtaining vital signs, performing clinical tests, collecting clinical samples, and data collection, as applicable. Sets-up, tracks, and trouble-shoots study technology (i.e., e-diaries, apps, home use research equipment), as applicable. Conducts literature searches and fact-finding research to support project development Ensures adherence to federal or other regulatory requirements. Communicates needs, issues, statuses, etc. to appropriate study personnel. Assists with grant submissions and grant funding opportunities; participates in pre- and post-award grant process, as applicable. Work is typically performed in an office environment.
