Job summary

BioStone Animal Health LLC in Dallas, TX seeks a Research Assistant to support a Ph.D.-level scientist in planning, designing, and executing experiments for animal disease diagnostics.

You will perform quality control, reagents preparation, and data analysis while developing practical skills in a dynamic, collaborative team. A BS in biology or related field and 0–3 years of lab experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline.
• 0–3 years of industry or practical laboratory training.
• Molecular biology lab training experience; ELISA and PCR assay development experience a plus.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently; strong interpersonal skills and problem solving.
• Ability to overcome technical challenges in a fast paced commercial environment.

Job description

As a Research Assistant at BioStone Animal Health, you will work in a dynamic team environment to develop animal disease diagnostic kits. You will assist a Ph.D.-level scientist to plan, design, and execute scientific research and development related to animal disease diagnostics. The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to problem-solve.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Following the principal scientist’s guide to design, implement, and analyze experiments related to animal disease diagnostics
• Performing quality control of the assays
• Performing reagents preparation

Skills required:

• Molecular biology lab training experience
  • ELISA assay and PCR assay development experience is a plus
• Self-starter, able to work independently
• Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to problem solve
