Job summary

Zoetis seeks a Research Animal Technician to provide daily care and welfare for laboratory animals within the Animal Research Center. You will monitor health, assist with study activities, and ensure SOPs, biosafety, and study protocols are followed.

The role emphasizes independence and teamwork, meticulous documentation, and a proactive approach to learn new procedures and equipment in a regulated research environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with animal-care experience; associate/bachelor's preferred.
• Prior experience working with animals required; poultry experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily animal care to maintain health and welfare of research animals.
• Monitor animal health and report concerns to management and veterinary staff.
• Support studies and incubation, candling, hatch, transfer, and cleanup activities.
• Perform procedures, sample collection, body weights, necropsies, and related study tasks.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure data accuracy and compliance.
