Job summary

The McLean Hospital Corporation Mass General Brigham seeks an Animal Facility Assistant to support the daily operation of the Animal Facility, including feeding and caring for animals used in experiments. The role is onsite with a 40-hour work week, including weekends and holidays, and requires attention to detail and good English communication.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterile techniques, recording animal health data, and keeping detailed logs of inventories and room maintenance.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience in lieu of degree may be accepted.
• Prior experience with animals (0-1 year) preferred.

• Attends staff and educational meetings as scheduled by supervisory staff.

Looking to fill a shift that works 40 hours / week from Saturday through Wednesday.

Scheduled days off would be Thursday and Friday Cross Training/potential to promote All staff are cross trained among species.

After successful training, looking to promote to Animal Specialist II.
