Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an R&D Technician III for a 12+ month contract position located in Maple Grove, MN. The role supports R&D engineers and teams in developing and analyzing products, materials, processes, or equipment.

The position emphasizes independence, prototype development, CAD documentation, and collaboration across engineering teams. W2 pay range is $30-$37 per hour, negotiable based on experience and location.

Qualifications

• AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3 years of related experience.
• Machinist experience or R&D experience is a plus.
• CAD and Technical support experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts.
• Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software to document prototypes and fixtures.
• Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts.
• Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
• Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
• Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
• Act as a resource to other employees.
• Communicate project status to project teams.

Pay Range: $30-$37/hr. On W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Summary
