Job summary

Lionheart Enterprises, LLC seeks an R&D Technician in Draper, Utah to support the R&D team with product development and formulation development. Responsibilities include following SOPs, sample prep, dispensing, mixing, scale-up and packaging, and assisting with research.

Requirements include experience in manufacturing and R&D, familiarity with GMP/GLP/GDP, basic math and chemistry, ability to read instructions, and proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook. 8–hour days, M–F.

Job Title: R&D Technician

Department: Research & Development

Job Purpose: To assist and help support the R&D researcher or research team with product development and developmental product assignments.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Follow all SOPs to perform job.
• Identify and help solve problems to improve performance.
• Assist with Development and Maintenance of Formulations

Required Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience working in R&D
• Basic mathematical understanding
• Basic Chemistry Understanding
• Understanding of GMP, GLP and GDP
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to read, understand and follow oral and/or written instructions such as work instructions and SOPs.
• Computer proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office software programs
• B.S. in Chemistry, Food Science, or Biology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Able to read and communicate in English.
• Experience in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science or Food Technology
• Scientific or Engineering background
• Attention to detail and the willingness to acquire new skills and learn on a daily basis
• M.S. (or B.S. + 3–5 years industry experience) R&D Technician – Employee Sign (DOC 1109) REV D TN – Effective 03/24/2025 Page 2 of 2 Working Conditions: 40 hours per week (primarily 8:30am-5pm Monday to Friday), Occasionally needing to lift 30-50lbs, Ability to wear personal protective equipment.
