Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Research Associate - Process Development to support viral vector production in our biotech workflow. You will work under Scientists to execute laboratory experiments and maintain detailed records, contributing to process development and scale-up.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Life Sciences or Engineering, with strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Life Sciences or Engineering from an accredited program.
• Laboratory experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or biotech settings.

Responsibilities

• Works independently under scientists to execute lab experiments supporting viral vector production.
• Performs buffer/solution prep, equipment cleaning, and calibration tasks.
• Maintains accurate, detailed lab records and complies with training and safety guidelines.
• Performs data analysis and communicates outcomes in reports and presentations.

Research Associate - Process Development | Requirements:

• B.S. in Life Sciences or Engineering.
• Laboratory experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or biotech in an academic or industry setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with member of cross-functional team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems while anticipating the downstream impacts.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with downstream unit operations such as centrifugation, filtration, and chromatography.

Research Associate - Process Development | Responsibilities:

• Works independently under the guidance of Scientists to execute laboratory experiment to support viral vector production.
• Perform tasks to support day-to-day laboratory operations, including buffer/solution preparation, equipment cleaning, calibration.
• Keep accurate, detailed laboratory records and comply to all required training and safety guidelines.
• Perform data analysis and communicates technical outcomes in technical reports and presentations.
