Job summary

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Research Analytical Chemist for a long-term contract in Milton, Wisconsin. This fully onsite laboratory role involves performing daily analytical work, supporting site personnel, and managing shifting priorities with limited day-to-day guidance.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Pay rate: $30.00–$40.00 per hour. Candidates must read and execute established analytical methods and document results for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and executing established analytical methods.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.

Candidates must be able to independently read, understand, and execute established analytical methods, adjust priorities as needs arise, and work with limited day-to-day guidance.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Pay Rate: $30.00–$40.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical testing using established laboratory methods and procedures.
• Read, interpret, and independently execute analytical methods.
• Support laboratory and site personnel with general analytical questions.
• Shift priorities efficiently in response to analytical issues or urgent support needs.
• Document and summarize analytical results in clear written reports for audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Learn routine analytical testing on systems outside of current direct experience.
• Work independently while seeking support when questions or issues arise.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience usingOpenLabCDS version 2.8.
• Proficiency with at leasttwo of the following analytical techniques or instrument systems:
  • Gas Chromatography (Agilent): Direct injection, headspace, or SPME with FID and/or mass spectrometry.
  • Liquid Chromatography (Agilent): UV-Vis, ELSD, and/or mass spectrometry.
  • FT-IR and/or FT-NIR: Thermo Fisher systems.
  • TGA and/or DSC: Waters systems.
  • Metrohmtitrators with OMNIS software, includingDosimatand Karl Fischer analysis.
• Ability to learn and perform routine analyses on equipment not previously used.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage a steady workload while adapting to changing analytical and site-support priorities.
