Job summary

Eventide seeks a Research Analyst in Boston to conduct qualitative and quantitative research across sectors, build financial models, and make investment recommendations to the portfolio manager. You will present analyses to the investment team both verbally and in writing, contributing to a values-based investment approach.

Expected to have 2+ years in banking, equity research, or private equity, with strong modeling and valuation skills and a commitment to Eventide's mission and ethics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in banking, equity research, or private equity preferred.
• Superior research, financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills required.
• Passion for and commitment to Eventide's mission and investment philosophy; experience in values-based investments or organizations preferred.
• Demonstration of Eventide's core values of excellence, integrity, and family spirit in execution of duties and decision-making.

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative fundamental research on a variety of sectors and their relevant industries.
• Analyzing industry structures, business models, sustainable competitive advantages, management team quality, and investment risks.
• Identifying Business 360 strengths and weaknesses for the six key stakeholders.
• Building financial models and value companies based on base, bear and bull scenarios.
• Speaking with management teams, sell side analysts and industry experts.
• Making investment recommendations to the portfolio manager.
• Present investment recommendations to the investment team verbally, and in written form.
• Provide input on portfolio holdings that are covered by other investment team members.
• Related duties and ad hoc research projects as assigned.

Position supervises: N/A

Compensation Range: The pay range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 annually. This range represents the base salary the company reasonably expects to pay for this role, depending on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications. This position is also eligible for generous discretionary bonuses and other forms of compensation. Actual compensation paid may vary based on geographical location and other business considerations.
