The Division of Research Administration Services (RAS) within EPC supports research goals by providing top-tier research administration support to faculty. Our services are customer-focused, compliant, cost-effective, collaborative, and continuously improving.

We seek a motivated, organized, dependable, detail-oriented individual passionate about research administration. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks, and adapting communication styles to meet customer needs. This position reports to the Post-Award Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage post-award activities for grants and contracts, including financial review, reconciliation, and reporting, ensuring compliance and meeting all award requirements.
  2. Interact with faculty to provide high-quality customer service and guidance on post-award processes.
  3. Coordinate award setup, monitor expenditures, forecast future costs, and ensure compliance throughout the award lifecycle.
  4. Prepare and submit financial reports and requests for award modifications, such as No Cost Extensions or rebudgeting.
  5. Review effort reports, manage effort certification, and ensure proper effort allocation.
  6. Assist in transferring awards and closing out projects in accordance with university procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Knowledge of federal research grant regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; PeopleSoft experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with complex research awards at large institutions.
  • NIH post-award management experience.
  • Strong service orientation, relationship-building skills, and flexibility.
Additional Information

This position may be performed remotely with occasional visits to Emory locations. Eastern Time Zone business hours apply. Emory does not accept primary work location applications from NJ, AK, HI, U.S. Territories, or outside the U.S.
