Empath Health is currently seeking a Resale Shop Coordinator to join our team.

Manage day-to-day operations, coordinate daily marketing activities, and supervise Resale Shop volunteers in the absence of the Primary RS managers. Organize pick-up schedules for the RS trucks.

The Resale Shop Coordinator

  • Assist VP of Philanthropy in developing and implementing an annual business plan and budget for the Resale Shoppes.
  • Coordinate procurement of merchandise, including donations and gifts.
  • Manage volunteer pick-up services.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Resale Shoppe, including volunteer scheduling, supervision, opening/closing, accounting reports, deposits, retail display, and facility management.
  • Assess and respond to volunteer needs.
  • Recruit volunteers based on various job descriptions.
  • Coordinate volunteer training and support.
  • Plan, promote, and evaluate sales promotions, analyze trends, resolve problems, conduct store inspections, utilize volunteers effectively, and ensure profitability and smooth operations.
  • Adhere to driver safety guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in retail management, preferably in thrift, retail, or used merchandise sales.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Experience handling cash, balancing cash drawers, and processing credit cards.
  • Ability to learn Volgistics database and other shop processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with supervisors, volunteers, and the community.
  • Reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance.
