Abacus Staffing is a family-owned staffing leader with 80+ years of experience, providing modern workforce solutions nationwide. We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler for Bridgetown Natural Foods in Nashville, TN.

Job Summary:

The Material Handler will serve as a major contributor to Bridgetown Natural Foods’s ability to plan and forecast for future production needs. You will ensure accurate tracking of inventory, manage raw materials and finished goods, and support efficient warehouse operations.

Essential Functions:

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts safely.
• Complete accurate daily cycle counts and participate in monthly physical counts.
• Receive ingredients (unloading of trucks) and ship finished goods (loading trucks).
• Stage and backstage raw materials to production lines.
• Complete all shift documentation accurately and adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines.
• Perform routine housekeeping of assigned work areas.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is a plus.
• Experience driving sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Basic math skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
• Ability to understand and communicate instructions in English.
• Reliable, customer- and team-oriented, with strong time management skills.

Working Conditions / Physical Factors:

• Ability to sit, walk, or stand up to 12 hours per day.
• Regularly lift and manipulate bags, boxes, and buckets up to and including 60 pounds.
• Ability to work in an environment containing nuts, peanuts, dairy, grains, and other allergens.
• Must be available for all shifts, nights, weekends, some holidays, and overtime as needed.
