Job summary

Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant I for full-time work at the Hollywood Health Center. The role supports reproductive health care delivery with testing, screening, education, and empathetic patient communication.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, MA certificate, BLS, and 1–2 years in a clinical setting with flexible hours including Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• 1–2 years experience in a clinical setting.
• Availability to work flexible hours including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical history and educate clients ensuring informed consent.
• Perform back-office duties including vitals, phlebotomy, and injections.
• Greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage front desk tasks.
• Assist nurses and clinicians and support pregnancy testing and counseling.
• Maintain infection control, safety, and equipment readiness.
