Position Overview
The role requires accurate and efficient correction of minor machine malfunctions, processing fills and jackpots, and monitoring slot players and slot games in the assigned area. All duties are performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort's policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Pays jackpots and performs jackpot celebration tasks.
- Manages the imprest bank or pouch to dispense funds for jackpots.
- Monitors the assigned zone or section on the casino floor, observing slot players and games.
- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with all departmental policies and procedures.
- Replenishes the bank to the assigned impressed level as required.
- Redeems TiTo tickets and pays guests the appropriate amount.
- Evaluates operating procedures, recommends and implements approved changes.
- Responds to and opens tilted slot machines to determine maintenance needs, completes minor maintenance or writes up for a slot technician.
- Completes all paperwork in accordance with Nevada Gaming Regulations and approved Venetian Resort Hotel Casino standards.
- Identifies guests playing slot machines without VPC cards and informs them of club membership benefits.
- Promotes current and future promotions.
- Provides service assistance to meet the needs of guests, clients, or customers.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older.
- Proof of authorization or eligibility to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills focused on guest needs.
- Professional, neat, and well‑groomed appearance, adhering to Company appearance standards.
- Consistent adherence to Venetian and Palazzo Unmatched Guest Service Standards.
- Experience of at least 6 months as a cashier or in slot operations.
- Excellent cash handling skills and basic math proficiency.
- Ability to perform tasks with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize and organize; follow directions and procedures thoroughly; work cohesively with co‑workers and subordinates; work independently.
- Ability to handle a significant number of guests with outstanding guest service skills.
- Ability to manage a substantial imprest bank with excellent cash handling skills.
- Adherence to Regulation 6A/Title 31 requirements and successful completion of testing.
- Physical ability to access all areas of the property.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 20 pounds.
- Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling without restriction; work indoors and be exposed to environmental factors such as CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke.
- Must work in a fast‑paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina and a positive mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Must communicate well, give direction, review work of others, and provide guidance and counsel to achieve department goals and objectives.
- Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with hotel guests politely.
- Must address stressful situations with clients with dignity and utmost tact.
