The role reports to the Supervisor of Billing and requires strong numerical and software skills, with exposure to SAP, and ability to handle billing exceptions and inquiries. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; two years related experience.
• Utility industry experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
• Advanced math and accounting methods proficiency.
• Proficiency with multiple software applications to create documents/reports.
• Valid driver’s license and travel eligibility; US passport may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Billing duties including exceptions, adjustments, and complaints.
• Monitor bill production activities.
• Identify and resolve SAP issues and exceptions.
• Ensure timely, accurate billing and troubleshoot when needed.
• Assist with meter reading exceptions.
• Process service orders from customer service.
• Receive/process billing transactions and escalate complex items.
• Other duties as assigned.

Purpose

This position reports to the Supervisor of Billing and is responsible for the daily customer billing and a variety of other billing activities.

Accountabilities

• Performs all aspects of Billing, including Exceptions, Adjustments and Complaints efficiently and timely
• Monitors bill production activities conducted by Liberty Utilities or any contracted billing vendor
• Become competent in SAP in identifying issues, taking actions towards resolution; ensuring all exceptions are resolved accurately and timely
• Ensures timely, accurate and quality billing processes and performs troubleshooting when necessary
• Assists with meter reading exceptions
• Completes service orders entered from customer service
• Receives and processes billing transactions and requests. Further escalates items of a complex nature to the designated level of responsibility
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and two years of progressively responsible related experience
• Utility industry experience preferred
• Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers
• Requires the ability to perform advanced mathematical operations and /or moderately complex statistical and/or accounting methods
• Requires advance knowledge of various software applications to create documents, reports and/or graphics
• Valid Operator’s Driver’s License and proof of current insurance. The employee must have the availability to travel if needed by the company and, accordingly, must possess or be eligible to obtain a US Passport.
