Responsibilities
  • Handle all registration functions related to patient admissions, emergency care, short stay, and outpatient services.
  • Obtain and verify patient demographic information and insurance details.
  • Secure required signatures and collect co-pays, deductibles, and deposits.
  • Coordinate bed assignments, transfers, direct admits, and ER admits.
Qualifications
  • Data entry and/or secretary/receptionist experience helpful.
  • Up to 6 months of on-the-job training provided.
  • Experience in customer service or healthcare environments is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, clerical accuracy, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to multitask and handle interruptions effectively.
  • Good telephone manners, knowledge of medical terminology, and insurance familiarity are helpful.
