Job Opportunity: Case Manager Assistant

Job Duties:
  1. The Case Manager Assistant provides services to remedy abuse, neglect, exploitation, or self-neglect of adults or children unable to protect themselves. Human Services Specialist I will assist Human Services Specialist II's with providing casework services in assessment, family preservation, and foster care.
  2. Provides or arranges transportation to resources in the community as part of the social service aide plan.
  3. Participates as a member of a professional team to plan services for clients.
  4. Makes requests for educational, medical, dental, law enforcement records, etc.
  5. Makes referrals to service providers, family group conferencing, Seneca search, etc.
  6. Assists with the completion of Foster Care Review Board packets, IV-E packets, Home Studies, and ICPC packets.
  7. Assists with the transportation of children.
  8. Assists with child and family visitation and teaches appropriate parenting and household management skills.
  9. Supports other administrative functions including correspondence, copying, faxing, emailing, etc.
  10. Ensures proper use, access, sharing, and disposal of personal identifying information (PII). Safeguards systems, equipment, and data to protect agency networks and applications.
  11. Participates in Red Cross training, shelter duty, or other emergency shelter services as directed.

The minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma with three (3) years of experience in clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business administration, or general business, or an Associate's Degree with one (1) year of similar experience.

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, be willing to drive and transport children and adults, and be able to lift children and interact positively with clients. Overtime hours, including weekends and during emergencies, may be required.
