Job summary

Stellantis Financial Services in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Repossession Operations Supervisor to lead the repossession team, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws. The role requires strategic thinking and a hands-on approach to daily operations.

• Minimum 2 years of auto Repossession, Collection, or Remarketing experience.
• Minimum 2-year Team Lead/Supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the repossession lifecycle, including account selection, vendor coordination, and compliance with laws.
• Partner with Risk Management, Compliance and Digital teams to streamline operations through automation and audits.
• Manage vendor relationships for repossession assignments, ensuring efficiency and regulatory adherence.
• Monitor regulatory updates and ensure procedures stay current with federal, state, and local laws.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives focusing on planning and workflow optimization across channels.
• Conduct goal-setting sessions to establish short- and long-term targets for department growth.
• Provide hands-on training, resolve escalated issues, and guide daily operations.
• Create reporting systems that offer leadership insights into KPIs, trends, and workload.
• Safeguard sensitive consumer data with strict confidentiality throughout the repossession process.

Position Summary

The core responsibilities of this role include overseeing the repossession team, driving strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, and consistently evaluating process effectiveness. It requires ensuring all activities align with corporate policies and comply fully with federal and state regulations. • Partner with Risk Management, Compliance, and Digital teams to streamline operations through automation and ensure timely responses to audits in alignment with CFPB and other regulatory standards.
• Manage vendor relationships for repossession assignments, enhancing efficiency while maintaining strict compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
• Monitor and implement regulatory updates, ensuring all departmental procedures remain current and compliant with federal, state, and local laws.
• Lead cross-functional business initiatives focused on strategic planning and workflow optimization across multiple operational channels.
• Conduct goal-setting sessions to establish clear short-term targets and long-term objectives that drive departmental growth and performance.
• Deliver hands-on support and training to team members, resolve escalated issues, and guide daily operations to foster continuous development.
• Create and maintain reporting systems that provide senior leadership with insights into key performance indicators, operational trends, and workload distribution.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of the repossession process, including account selection, vendor coordination, legal compliance, and handling of vehicle reinstatments and redemptions, while safeguarding sensitive consumer data with strict confidentiality.

Required Experience

• Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.
• Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

Qualifications Preferred

• Demonstrates ability to read and write simple instructions, correspondence, and memos with clarity and accuracy.
• Performs basic mathematical operations—including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division—using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Applies sound judgment to follow detailed yet straightforward written or verbal instructions effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; adheres to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and all relevant local, state, and federal collection laws.

Work Schedule

This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 10% of the time.
