Job summary

OneMain Financial is seeking a Repossession Specialist to locate customers and collateral using skip tracing techniques, ensuring compliance with FDCPA and CFPB regulations. The role manages a repossession queue, coordinates with agents, and oversees fees and transportation to auction, onsite in West Valley City, UT.

The schedule is Monday–Friday 9:00am–6:00pm with a rotating Saturday shift every 6 weeks, offering opportunities to impact loan recovery and collaborate across vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in collections with a focus on skip tracing.

Job description

As a Repossession Specialist , you would be responsible for locating customers and collateral using various investigative (skip tracing) techniques. All duties and tasks must be completed by adhering to FDCPA and CFPB regulations. Manages a repossession queue to ensure collateral is recovered. Works with agents to approve fees, coordinate repossessions and provide the best possible information.

Location: Onsite in West Valley City, UT

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm with a rotating Saturday shift every 6 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and complete skip tracing activities on all assigned accounts to prevent charge off and company loan loss. This includes inbound/outbound calls to discuss delinquency resolution.
• Maintain and establish new repossession and transport vendor relationships.
• Manage all accounts that have been assigned to them from the repossession assignment to the transportation of the vehicle to the auction.
• Completes required applicable paperwork including sending all required Federal and State regulation letters.

Requirements:
