Job Description

Five Colleges, Incorporated has an opening for a Repository Collection Metadata Coordinator to develop and implement a plan for maintaining complete and accurate metadata for materials in the Five College Library Repository Collection. The collection includes about 810,000 print items housed at two off-campus facilities, previously held by Five College libraries (Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, and Smith Colleges, and UMass Amherst) and affiliates.

This is a 10-hour/week, non-exempt, casual, non-benefited position based in N. Hatfield, Massachusetts, with some remote work within Massachusetts possible.

Duties

The Metadata Coordinator will work closely with librarians across the Five College Consortium to update and remediate records, ensuring materials are discoverable and accurately described for users within and beyond the consortium.
