Job summary

Welling Young, LLC is seeking a Reporting Analyst to support business units with reporting, system configuration, and analytical solutions. You will gather requirements, translate needs into technical solutions, and help optimize insurance programs with data-driven insights.

You will develop SQL queries, build reports and visualizations, and assist with data migration, validation, testing, and SOP creation. Collaboration with underwriting and operations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support project management activities for internal systems and process improvements.
• Assist with data migration and data validation efforts.
• Gather, document, and refine business requirements from underwriting and operational teams.
• Participate in RFP processes for new software solutions as needed.
• Perform underwriting, operational, and financial analysis using internal and external data sources.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries for reporting, data exports, and ad hoc analysis.
• Build intuitive reports and visualizations for business users and leadership.
• Support troubleshooting, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.
• Create and maintain SOPs and Technical Specifications for clarity and documentation.

Welling Young, LLC has partnered with a rapidly growing insurance organization seeks a Reporting Analyst. The Reporting Analyst supports the business units by delivering reporting, system configuration, and analytical solutions that drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements, translate needs into technical solutions, and support both existing and new insurance programs. The Reporting Analyst will contribute to projects of small to medium size with appropriate guidance and mentorship.

Description:

• Support project management activities for internal systems and process improvements
• Assist with data migration and data validation efforts
• Gather, document, and refine business requirements from underwriting and operational teams

• Perform underwriting, operational, and financial analysis using internal and external data sources
• Develop and maintain SQL queries for reporting, data exports, and ad hoc analysis

• Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Technical Specifications to ensure clarity, repeatability, and proper system documentation
