OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox TV StationsFOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a rare opportunity to join one of Florida’s top TV stations. WTVT-FOX 13 in Tampa is looking to hire a three day a week reporter and weekend streaming host. We are the dominant station in the market and continue to evolve the way we serve our viewers. Besides our traditional newscasts, we are a streaming first news organization. As a reporter you will innovate, write, and deliver compelling content across every platform, from the linear newscast to a breaking news live stream. On the weekend, you'll produce and host our expanding streaming news.

We want a journalist who has evolved beyond linear television thinking and workflows. The content you create will be designed for all our news platforms. It's not always about turning a news package, it's about connecting with our viewers to tell stories for all platforms. As a streaming host, we want someone who can go beyond the script and fuel meaningful conversations, connect with audiences, and bring curiosity, insight, and personality to every story.

A minimum of 3 years of experience as a reporter and anchor is preferred. A reel that demonstrates your ability to shoot, edit and produce content will get you noticed. This is not an entry-level position or a position for candidates who do not have a news gathering background.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $90,000.00-105,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
