Job description

Blockspace Media is seeking a reporter to join our dynamic, tight-knit newsroom.

We are a fast growing Bitcoin industry publication covering news that other outlets miss. Blockspace breaks news, provides leading analysis, and produces features covering bitcoin mining, tech, startups, and markets. Our media stack includes daily branded newsletters, three podcasts, the OPNEXT technical conference, and on-site news coverage.

We’re looking for a self-starter with strong written and verbal skills who has a proven track record reporting on the Bitcoin industry with speed and efficiency without sacrificing quality. This role will work closely with Blockspace Media’s editor-in-chief and CEO.

This job entails:

• Publishing 5-10 articles per week on Blockspace’s website
• Monitoring our proprietary press release and company filing feed for breaking news
• Pushing relevant updates from the proprietary feed onto Blockspace’s Synoptic page and social media
• Contributing to weekly newsletters on an as-needed basis
• Appearing on Blockspace Media podcasts on an as-needed basis
• Publishing news, commentary, and interactive content on Blockspace’s X and LinkedIn accounts

The ideal candidate:

• Is based in Europe
• Has strong written and verbal communications skills in English
• Has experience in data-driven journalism, including scouring public documents, SEC filings, bitcoin network data, financial data, etc
• Has familiarity with public markets and bitcoin
• Can take on-the-fly directions and work under tight deadlines

Proficiency with WordPress, X, Google Docs, and Beehiiv preferred. This role includes full healthcare benefits and two weeks PTO.
