Job summary

The Glendive Ranger-Review seeks a general assignment reporter to cover a variety of news beats in Glendive and Terry, Montana, for print, digital platforms and social media.

You will work with the editor to contribute enterprise stories across eastern Montana and engage with the community, representing the newsroom in public forums and on social networks.

Qualifications

• Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with digital platforms and social media strategy are important.
• Community engagement experience – in person and on social networks, being a professional ambassador for the news organization in the community.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Photography skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cover a variety of news beats in Glendive, Terry, Montana and surrounding communities.
• Contribute to enterprise news stories across the eastern Montana region.

The Glendive Ranger-Review is looking for a general assignment reporter to provide coverage for its print edition, digital platforms and social media channels.

The reporter’s primary focus will be covering a variety of news beats in Glendive and Terry, Montana, and the surrounding communities and contributing to enterprise news stories throughout the eastern Montana region.

This position reports to the editor of the Glendive newspaper.
