OSU Orange Media Network is hiring up to 20 part-time reporters for OSU. You will pitch, research, and write multimedia stories for The Daily Barometer, Beaver’s Digest, or DAMchic, including print and online formats, under the editor-in-chief’s guidance.
The role includes general clerical duties and opportunities to mentor new hires while meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic university setting.

This recruitment will be used to fill up to 20 part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Reporters for the Orange Media Network at Oregon State University (OSU).
TheReporteris responsible forpitching, researching, and writing/creating multimedia stories for The Daily Barometer, Beaver’s Digest, or DAMchic, including print and online, as required by the editor-in-chief of the publications.
The Undergraduate Student Clerical Worker performs general office work such as typing, copying, filing, sorting, indexing, reception duties, and accounting tasks.

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Employment is Sept. 8, 2026 through the academic year. May require standing or sitting for extended periods and occasional lifting. Hours are flexible and may require working nights or weekends depending on events and news.
