Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Purchasing/Supply Chain Coordinator in the Richmond area to support replenishment, inventory analysis, and vendor communications. You will monitor stock levels, assist with orders and transfers, and coordinate with Sales, Distribution and Customer Service to keep inventory in balance.

The role requires 1–2 years in retail/wholesale supply chain operations, relevant education, and strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in purchasing or supply chain operations in retail/wholesale.
• Post-secondary education in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Operations (or equivalent).
• Experience with forecasting and replenishment tools is a plus (Oracle, Logility, SAP, or JDA).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Update replenishment templates and assist with basic inventory analysis.
• Monitor sales and stock reports to identify low stock items and assist with order creation and transfers.
• Communicate with vendors regarding delivery timelines, backorders, and product availability.
• Gathering and analysis of data, identifying trends or points of importance to the department or business.
• Analyze a variety of reports to proactively plan for growth and spikes in demand.
• Communicate relevant updates to Sales, Distribution, and Customer Service teams including issues affecting inventory or customer orders.
• Coordinating and supporting reverse product flow/empty container pick-up throughout the company to ensure proper execution of the RTV (returns) process.

Requirements

• 1-2 years experience working in purchasing or supply chain operations in a retail/wholesale environment
• Post-secondary education in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Operations (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in supply chain forecasting and replenishment with either Oracle, Logility, SAP and JDA Manugistics is an asset
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with exceptional attention to detail
