Job summary

Fashion Nova is seeking a Replenishment Buyer to lead the Test and Reorder process for key categories, ensuring fast restocks at optimal cost and quality. You will build strong vendor relationships, monitor stock by size and color, and align with Planning and Buying to maximize revenue.

The role requires staying ahead of fashion trends, conducting financial analysis, and driving timely reorders, with onsite work in Beverly Hills. Excellent communication and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Six plus years of experience in Replenishment, Data Analysis or related field.
• Experience with vendor relations and negotiating.
• Experience with product development preferred.
• Strong foundation in retail math concepts.

Responsibilities

• Establish solid vendor relations to get best deliveries, cost and quality.
• Communicate availability, stock by size, and delivery dates with vendors.
• Negotiate discounts and costs including air freight when needed.
• Present recommendations to Planning and Buying.
• Enter purchase orders into system or upload orders.
• Recommend color/print expansion of core items to VP, Buying.
• Coordinate with Product Development on core programs.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Replenishment Buyer will be at the forefront of innovation and style, ensuring our customers have access to the most current trends. You will be responsible for keeping up a reputation in the fashion world that is second to none. You will be responsible for driving the Test and Reorder model for assigned categories to ensure that the best-selling products are reordered in a timely manner at the best possible cost and quality. The Replenishment Buyer will need to react fast to bring back the merchandise to the customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish solid vendor relations to get the best possible deliveries at optimum cost and best quality
• Communicate with vendors on item availability: In stock units by size and other color offerings, incoming stock/pre-orders by size and delivery dates, and custom cut dates and minimum order quantities (MOQ’s)
• Negotiate discounts and best possible costs, including air costs if needed at an earlier date
• Presents recommendations to Planning and Buying
• Enter purchase orders into the system and|or upload orders
• Recommend color|print expansion of core items|key buys to Vice President, Buying
• Recommend counter sourcing with other vendors if facing problem deliveries
• Coordinate with Product Development if needed on core programs|key items
• Review selling reports to keep track of how reorders are selling
• Monitor program buys and core items to help manage the flow; i.e. move up or move back
• Recommend promotional activity if needed to drive additional sales volume.
• Aware of fashion market trends and new, current and emerging best practice within Merchandising|Buying

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Six plus years of experience in Replenishment, Data Analysis or a related field
• Experience working with vendors and negotiating
• Experience with product development preferred
• Passionate about fashion and trend analysis
• Demonstrated ability in financial analysis
• Experience analyzing data and providing actionable insights
• Experienced in Excel - can perform complex functions, such as SUMIFS, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables
• Experience in digital and|or multi-brand setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of and the ability to apply retail math concepts, including markup, margin planning, open to buy, and inventory productivity measures
• Must be able to adapt to constant change and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Must be results oriented and have excellent organizational skills
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess a keen eye for design, trends, and color
• BFA or BA in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field
• English, additional language(s) an advantage.
