Summary

This role involves managing the daily operations of the asphalt manufacturing plant, including hot mix asphalt production, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance. The operator is key to maintaining production efficiency and product quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining efficient production and high product quality.
• Enforcing all safety policies, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
• Performing routine equipment checks to minimize downtime.
• Operating asphalt plant and heavy equipment such as front-end loaders and skid steers.
• Conducting general maintenance and inspections; managing a crew responsible for plant operations.
• Communicating daily with customers, brokers, and foremen; ordering necessary materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of asphalt plant operation experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and automated plant systems preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in all seasons.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and longer hours as needed.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE AS A REPLACEMENT WORKER

• Base wage: $40.43 per hour.
• Vacation: $5.00 per hour.
• 401(k) with company contribution: $11.60 per hour, including healthcare coverage for employee and family, applicable to all hours worked.
