Job summary

Memphis Habitat is seeking an Operations Manager, Repairs in Memphis, TN to oversee home assessments and inspections, manage subcontractor work, and ensure timely completion of Aging in Place projects. You will document findings, create work orders, coordinate with homeowners, donors, and staff, enforce safety practices, and manage resources to meet funding deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction/contracting or related field.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Microsoft Office and Google Sheets proficiency; Salesforce knowledge preferred.
• Nonprofit and Habitat for Humanity experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee home assessments and inspections to verify subcontractor work is completed, inspected, and approved.
• Initiate and manage subcontractor work and conduct final inspections for Aging in Place.
• Ensure assessments and inspections proceed per requirements, standards, and regulations.
• Identify deficiencies and coordinate with subcontractors to implement corrections.
• Create work orders and tool kits based on inspections.
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely email communications.
• Verify that local building controls approve the work and coordinate with inspectors.
• Manage projects, staff, and time to meet funding deadlines while maintaining safety practices.
