Job summary

Boeing's Spirit AeroSystems division in Wichita seeks an experienced Production Scheduler to manage aircraft component repairs and overhaul workloads ensuring on-time delivery. You will supervise tooling, staffing, and sequencing, and present production metrics across units in process, inventory, and workloads.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in aerospace maintenance scheduling, FAA Part 145 Repair Station experience, and a FAA certification or ability to obtain a Repairman certificate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience
• Working knowledge of FAA 14 CFR Parts 21, 39, 43, 65, 91, 121, 135, and 145
• FAA Part 145 Repair Station experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively work multiple simultaneous assignments in a fast-paced environment
• Must pass a FAA drug and alcohol pre-employment test

Responsibilities

• Manage the schedule of aircraft component repairs and overhauls in relation to personnel, skills, tools, equipment, parts, materials, and required work areas aligned with the customer delivery schedule and cost forecasts.
• Oversee the tooling, equipment, materials, employee skills, and hours necessary for their accomplishment.
• Plan, recommend, and coordinate sequencing and allocation of workload for efficient use of staff, skills, and space.
• Supervise non-routine work into scheduled workload; assign jobs according to the skills, experience, and training of mechanics; develop requirement forecasts; investigate recoverability of parts and components and determine appropriate repair or overhaul processes.
• Review job progress and make adjustments to planned schedule to meet changing workload conditions.
• Responsibility for development and presentation of production and business metrics, including units in process, inventory, repair status/history, and current and projected workloads.

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Position Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 5+ years of related work experience
• Must have working Knowledge of FAA 14 CFR Parts 21, 39, 43, 65, 91, 121, 135, and 145.
• Must have FAA Airframe Certificate or the ability to obtain a FAA Repairmen certificate.
• FAA Part 145 Repair Station experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively work multiple simultaneous assignments in a fast-paced environment
• Must pass a FAA drug and alcohol pre-employment test.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation, Engineering, or related field
• Experience in both metal structure and composite repair

Summary Pay Range: $94,450 - $144,800
