Job summary

Performance Roofing and Siding is seeking a skilled Exterior Repair Technician to join our high-performing team in Michigan. You will diagnose and repair exterior issues on homes, including roofing and siding, while producing accurate takeoffs and estimates.

You’ll collaborate with supervisors, safely operate tools, manage material logistics, and lead a small crew to keep jobs on time and on budget. We value craftsmanship, safety, and clear communication with customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on exterior home repair experience.
• Strong carpentry skills and comfort with heights and safety procedures.
• Organized, efficient, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to lead small repair crews.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair exterior home issues including roofing and siding (vinyl, aluminum, fiber cement).
• Conduct material takeoffs and labor estimates based on project scopes.
• Collaborate with Repair Supervisor on scheduling and customer estimates.
• Safely operate ladders, power tools, and other equipment on residential structures.
• Coordinate material pickups and deliveries to and from job sites.
• Submit change orders when needed and resolve on-site issues with professionalism.
• Lead a tech assistant and maintain job site organization and efficiency.
• Ensure projects meet high-quality standards and customer expectations.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair exterior home issues including roofing and siding (vinyl, aluminum, fiber cement).

• Conduct material takeoffs and labor estimates based on project scopes.

• Coordinate material pickups and deliveries to and from job sites.

• Lead a tech assistant and maintain job site organization and efficiency.

• Ensure projects meet our high-quality standards — and our customers’ expectations.

What Sets You Apart
