Roof Plus in Point Pleasant, NJ is looking for a Lead Carpentry Technician - Roofer to manage job sites and oversee a variety of carpentry and roofing tasks. This full-time role involves mentoring junior technicians and ensuring high-quality workmanship while fostering a safe work environment.

Ideal candidates will have several years of carpentry experience, strong skills in siding and window installations, and a positive team-oriented attitude. A valid driver’s license is necessary, and bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR LEAD CARPENTRY TECHNICIAN – ROOFER

As you start your day, you step onto job sites ready to lead – reviewing plans, organizing your crew, and setting the tone for quality and efficiency. Throughout the day, you move between hands‑on carpentry and oversight, tackling roofing repairs, siding work, window and door installations, and skylight projects while ensuring every detail meets your high standards. When challenges arise, you think on your feet, adjusting for imperfect structures and guiding your team toward the best solution. You mentor junior technicians, sharpening their skills as you deliver results customers can trust, all while maintaining a safe, productive work environment that reflects Roof Plus’ commitment to excellence.

This is a full‑time carpenter position working Monday through Friday, starting at 7:45 AM and typically ending around 5:00 PM. Some flexibility is expected depending on project needs. Occasional weekend work may be available, but is never required.

REQUIREMENTS

Here’s what you need to become our Lead Carpentry Technician - Roofer:

• Several years of carpentry experience with excellent finish detail
• Hands‑on experience with siding, windows, doors, and skylights
• Comfortable working at heights
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to use apps, email, and digital calendars
• Dependable, positive, and team‑oriented

Preferred qualifications include experience with roofing systems (shingle and flat), siding installation and repair, fiberglass, copper work, welding, gutters, drywall, painting, soffit, fascia, and bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Candidates must successfully pass a background check, and we also conduct pre‑employment drug testing. Please note that any job offer extended will be contingent upon the results of both background and drug testing.
