Job summary

Transco Rail Services is seeking a Repair Technician to support railcar repair tasks in a TEAM environment. You will repair metal parts per layouts, work orders, blueprints and sketches, contributing to safe, reliable service.

Applicants must be physically capable, able to lift 50 pounds, and pass drug screening and medical tests. Experience with pneumatic/hydraulic tools and welding is preferred. We offer competitive benefits after 30 days and a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• Use pneumatic and hydraulic tools, grinders, jacks, welders, cutting torches, forklifts, and cranes.
• Read specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Knowledgeable or willing to learn how to perform air brake test.
• The ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
• The ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.
• Ability to work within a teamwork environment with regular and predictable attendance.
• Keep materials area and other work areas clean and orderly and report potential hazards.
• Able to pass drug screen, physical.

Job Description

We are looking for a Repair Technician to provide support to by performing basic repairs. You will repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches. You will be responsible for performing a variety of rail car repair related tasks and working in a TEAM environment, establishing good working relationships at all levels.
