Job summary

Liebherr Aerospace Saline, Inc. in Saline, MI is seeking a Repair Technician to maintain repair flow and coordinate with the supervisor on issues affecting production.

Responsibilities include repairing components per manuals and data, meeting timeframes, and ensuring proper tooling and consumables. FAA and EASA compliance are required considerations for all work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 1–3 years in Aviation Maintenance.
• License/Certification in Airframe/Power Plant preferred.

• Complete repair work within the supervisor provided timeframe.
• Maintain shop supply discipline to conserve resources.
• Ensure adequate consumables to prevent work stoppage.
• Maintain and store tooling and test equipment in good working order.
• Coordinate with supervisor on tool/equipment needs.
• Work with supervisor on process improvements to increase productivity and reduce shop flow days.
• Ensure all work complies with Liebherr-Aerospace, customer requirements, FAA and EASA standards.

Job description

The primary focus of the Repair Technician is to maintain the flow of repair work across their workbenches and to coordinate with the supervisor on any issues to prevent potential problems.

Responsibilities

• Repair components in accordance with applicable Component Maintenance Manuals, Engineering data, and/or other approved data.
• Complete repair work within the requested timeframe as provided by the supervisor.
• Maintain shop supply discipline by insuring available resources are conserved and used efficiently.
• Insure that a proper level of consumables is maintained to prevent work stoppage.
• Insure tooling and test equipment within the work area is in good working order and proper maintained and stored.
• Coordinate with your supervisor any tool and equipment requirements.
• Work with your supervisor on process improvement initiatives that will smooth flow, increase productivity and reduce shop flow days.
• Insure that all work is compliant with Liebherr-Aerospace, customer requirements, FAA and EASA standards.

Competencies

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED with 1 - 3 years of experience in Aviation Maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience. License/Certification in Airframe / Power plant preferred.
